good god
Good god it's been a long time since a significant update has occurred. Sadly, this will have to be a quick summary of the last 3 or 4 weeks. Yes, this semester has been THAT busy.
Grades came out, I did about as well as I expected to. Not super stoked, but not sorely disappointed either.
Seriously, one class makes a HUGE difference. My plan coming into the semester was to brief the cases as I read them and update an outline weekly. So far, neither has happened. There's just not enough time. It seems that, although worth one less unit and still a pass/not pass class, lawyering skills is taking more time than last semester. At least it has so early on in the semester. Overall, I like all my professors this semester. I think this may be the best set of professors I've ever had in a single semester. Granted some of them are hard asses, but they're within their right to be so. Most importantly, none of them are ridiculously boring (as I experienced last semester).
Now, more briefly on grades since I just thought of this. Law school finals should NOT be multiple choice. Yes, it worked out for me WAAAAAAAY better than I expected it to, but at the same time I KNOW I didn't deserve what I got and people who studied MUCH (and by "MUCH" I mean "MUCH MUCH MUCH") harder than I did did worse than me. If I had to grade myself based on effort, hell, if I had to grade myself based on what I think I deserve, no question I'd give myself an F. Luckily I got nowhere near that, but still, I certainly didn't deserve it.
I found my place to study this semester. I went there on occasion last semester, but this semester it's close to daily. There are distractions there, but they're self-imposed and self-controlled. Other places are often beyond my control so even if I wanted to study I can't. That's a huge problem and this place solves it. Mainly because, well, I don't know anyone there to distract me.
Hmm, this is supposed to be a quick update so I'm not going to go into too much detail, but njkg? Yea, that's SOOOOOO over. Yea, she's still cute, but I learned a few things about her which make me very VERY uninterested. I always had suspicions that they were there, but I never really saw how bad it was until the last few weeks. Yea yea, I was blinded, there's no denying that. SOOOO over.
Hmm, what else is new? Not much I guess since I've spent so much time just reading. Haven't had that much time to have anything really new and interesting happen.
Hopefully I'll get to update more often for the rest of the semester as I've found my schedule. This sucks. Being a product of public education has gotten me used to the notion that, well, it's President's Day, WTH are we doing in school???? Eh, I guess it's nice that we get the Monday after Easter off. We can thank the Catholic nature of this school for that. Alright, I've babbled on enough, time to read some Civ Pro.
